willz
It's the factory vinyl flooring, the can says it works for carpet as well 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
Couldn't find out what happened to my original shift boot. Pretty sure I hacked it up years ago, so I made one out of vinyl. It's temporary but it works. Also sealed in a lexan panel for where the wideband will mount Quote Link to comment
willz
Pulled the boot out, paint time! Before: And after: Quote Link to comment
willz
I'm not happy with the left over goo that got on the gauge slot, so I'll be making another piece to glue over it to help it fit better. Options are : Wood to match the steering wheel Carbon fiber The same leather as the shift boot Something black Quote Link to comment
sebpv
or a billet piece that says Datsun or something...or even Lola? 2 Quote Link to comment
willz
I'm going to be putting two gauges in there, one will be the wideband, the other one is up in the air for now 1 Quote Link to comment

FrankRizzo
You should cut your grass and get rid of that boat in your front yard. :w00t: That is looking good !! Digging the exhaust! How are you going to finish the tip, is there going to be a flange? . 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
I bet that felt good.... nice work... how did that wideband o2 setup work on the test ride?. looking at buying mine next Friday.... 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
I cut the grass yesterday 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
I guess it's really the only way to go if you wanna get the tune right... some one else said they had a dead spot in the throttle.... wideband showed him going lean at part throttle... 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
If you let off it will, but under a load it should read fine. Mine read as it should, running a little rich now so it's kind of boggy, could probably adjust the dizzy too to help 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Ya my o2 takes forever to warm up to give me a reading, plus I have crap gauge too. once I added my fuel regulator things ran better, but I think I am still rich though .... and I think I pushed my initial timing up to 14 that also helped a little... smoothed out the idle... 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
Did yours come with the built in heater? When I turn the ignition on the wideband goes through a warm up mode and then reads correct numbers, which is like... 22 or something since it's just idling. but as soon as I step on the accelerator it jumps down to a 12-13.5/14. I really need to have the dizzy recurved though, I'm sure that would help out quite a bit as well. So far I'm pretty happy with it, need to raise the front end up about half an inch for it to not scrape, but with the new exhaust it doesn't scrape the ground coming out of my driveway which I really enjoy 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
Just a quick doodle of what I want to do, not sure of the tip yet though 2 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Ya it's heated and it still sucks... mostly the gauge... just has a light from lean to rich... I can't even tell if it's working because it just shows I am rich... And if your that rich at idle I believe the air fuel screw can help with that... I read a good right up about setting the idle and airfuel.... might be all you need.. 12 to 14 will driving seems pretty good.... 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
14.7 is stoic, idle reads ~22 which is lean. You've got a narrow band? 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Ya I'm pretty sure it's narrow band... won't be after friday.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
And I get that whole rich and lean thing backward all the time, that why I like the way the one you got displays and reacts.. this is the first time I've really delt with tuning ... 1 Quote Link to comment
