datzenmike Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Good deal, their about $40 at dealer. You need one for each gear. The P0100 fits 1/2 shift also the 3/4 shift. The E9801 is for the 5th gear only. So you'd better get one of those too!!!!! 2

It's my understanding that trans is the same as the 5spd in the 620??? So that 32604-E9801 should fit the fifth gear for my 620's trans? I can't seem to find a straight answer during my googling, figured you would know Mike. I've got 5 of 'em in my hand right now, hoping they are correct for my application.

datzenmike Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 The E9801synchro ring is used on 5 speeds for the '80 model year or very early in the '80 model year. This would include the second year of the 280zx (10 '79) and on, all 720, Maxima, 200sx after 11'79. There were a lot of changes to the FS5W71B in or around 1980 and this was one of them.
