I have an sr20 in my 71' Datsun 510 and I would love to get my hands on a original tach! im willing to pay for a nice quality tach and the shipping if it comes down to it! :) Thanks for lookin! 0 Link to comment

Ant-dat Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 i'm using a standard tach on my FJ20, the FJ20 (like SR20) has no distributor and uses coil packs (i'm running a Sr20 loom and ecu), i just used some diods and took a signal from each coil. Link to comment

ggzilla Posted February 21, 2012 Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 JDM SR20 uses a distributor. SR20DET (turbo) has no distributor but individual Coil On Plug (COP) ignition rather than coil packs, at least in the Silvias. Ant, what do the UK SR20s use? Link to comment
Ant-dat Posted February 21, 2012 Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 all ones i have seen here use a CAS with coil packs in RWD, fwd do have a distributor like my Primera GT (G20) I have never seen a RWD SR20 in any form using a distributor ony FWD's and i know you cant use a FWD sr20 on a rwd box without an adaptor kit. thats way i was a interested :) Link to comment
