fuzz's '71 510
Just got done doing the compression check and noticed I have no manufacture marks or numbers on this head. My question is, what does this mean??? I looked thru all of the records and it has never had a head replaced, so is this a screw up from the factory or a cheap knock off? Thanks. Skib
did you look on the front of the head or are you just looking on the side? 219 and 210 heads are stamped up front by the timing chain inspection cover. Quote Link to comment
Boaty
I have/had a semi-open head that has no markings, but is obviously a 210 due to having super small ports. You can see that it was miscast or a bad cast, as it's funky looking where there should be numbers. I think I junked it, but I'll look next time I'm out there and take a picture. :) Quote Link to comment
fuzz's '71 510
Well skib, your right but mine looks like a 210, could just be the angle I'm looking at. So is it a good head or ???? Quote Link to comment

Guest 510kamikazifreak
Front cast 210 heads are L-16 68- early 70, they are a semi peanut head, itty bitty valves. Quote Link to comment
Skib
210 heads are paper weights Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Only good on L16s as the combustion chamber size is about 38cc. Used on an L18 would jump the compression to 9.38. Valves and ports too small for performance. Would increase efficiency and MPG at low speeds, good throttle response... about it. Quote Link to comment
fuzz's '71 510
It is on the L16 motor and I'm not modding anything except the carb on it, so good to go. Thanks everybody!! Quote Link to comment
Guest 510kamikazifreak
210 heads are paper weights also effective for holding tarps down on a wood pile Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
I'll bet is has Nissan cast on it somewhere. Maybe if you remove the rocker cover you will see it. No company has ever done a knockoff as far as I've ever heard. Quote Link to comment
