philcas1987
what facts do you have to support its a bluebird? hearsay doesn't count. looks like a regular old 510 to me. id plates dont match a bluebird. and they look original. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
All 510s are Bluebirds. Unless you mean a japan-market 510 Bluebird. Easiest way to tell is it is LHD, it's probably not a japan-market version, unless it was from okinawa. Then the engine compartment ID plate would be in Japanese. Quote Link to comment
spook420
right that's about it. i could splat some emblem on it and called a BB. i kinda figured it wasnt. i think the ad ment that the 510 and BB were similar. you guys know theses cars better than i do. thanks All 510s are Bluebirds. Tristin
Left hand drive... meaning the steering wheel is on the left of the car. Quote Link to comment
spook420
the steering wheel is and so is the ignition?? http://i.imgur.com/aj8Cu.jpg Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Well that is stock... How mine is/was... Currently I swung mine over to the passenger side. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Correct... so its a US car and therefore not a "Bluebird" in the sense that its not a JDM Datsun release. Its just a 510 wagon. In Japan (other than Okinawa), they drive RHD vehicles on the opposite side of the road than us here in the States. So if its LHD-- as yours is-- then its a US Datsun. Quote Link to comment

KyushaKai
Well that is stock... How mine is/was... Currently I swung mine over to the passenger side. You moved the ignition over to the right? Is that hard to do? It always throws me off when it's on the left side for some reason, but I never put thought into moving it... Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You have ignition on the dash? Mine's on the column, same location as LHD. But the turn signals always bothered me, so finally I moved it to the left side of the column. Just rotated it 180 degrees, and there was already a bolt hole there for it. Quote Link to comment

It always throws me off when it's on the left side for some reason, but I never put thought into moving it... I dont have the column surround... I did swing the assembly around the column to the right side. You loose the steering lock feature though (I bet you could make a hole for the lock...) Zilla, 510s have the the key on the column, not dash. Also the turn signal is already on the left side, and its a clamp on style, no holes for it. (note 68/69 may be different). Quote Link to comment
