ggzilla
Oh, spelled it wrong. Meant to say Black Plum Top. More HP than the regular Black Top. Give it the compression tests, it might be fine as-is. Quote Link to comment
sunny310
niiiiccccceeeeee!! Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Compression test with all the same readings is great. Your guage reads low however no worries. Fire that thing up and if it don't knock (and confirm it don't smoke), then put it in the 210! Quote Link to comment
RAlly_DatoB210
Add lengthy detailed step proccess to this build I will hopefully go the same route Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
It's only 4 wires to fire up an SR20! Quote Link to comment
Lonestar
It's only 4 wires to fire up an SR20! Really? Then I guess I better figure out the wiring and how I'm going to put the starter on it then.:P Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Do it just like an A14. Bolt the transmission on, then the starter. You gonna have to do it some time to complete your swap. Better now than later. Quote Link to comment
Lonestar
Aye, been taking note of the things I need to replace and the Fing Cam sensor is one....335 bucks to replace...ouch. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
They all over the wreckers around here, $10 for a cam position sensor. Pick-n-Pull has like 20 altimas in Dallas. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Your motor looks like it has a distributor. The Cam position sensor is a 360 wheel inside the distributor. The sensor on the front of the head is the knock sensor, isn't it? You can run without it. Quote Link to comment
80datson
Whats a plum top??? Lol Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
SR20DET history: Red Top: bloody HP Black Top: deathly HP Black Plum Top: WOW CRAZY HP (it has some red mixed in with the black) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Got a picture of the rear of the motor? What ya doing for a transmission? Quote Link to comment

I never saw a distributor on it, if it is, it's on the back of the motor. The knock sensor is near the crank pulley. SR20DET history: Red Top: bloody HP Black Top: deathly HP Black Plum Top: WOW CRAZY HP (it has some red mixed in with the black) Hah, then I'm thinking it's not a Plum, I know it's a Blacktop with what I think is a repainted valve cover but that would have been sweet. I've been looking and I can't find anything on the Black Plum Top SR20det's. Got a picture of the rear of the motor? What ya doing for a transmission? Not yet but I got the 5sp trans that came with it so it's going in to. :D

Quote Link to comment
