RWD SR20s come from Japan. When running VEs you need to swap blocks to a S14/15 SR20DE one, modify the distributor, and relocate the VVL solenoid for them to work... Quote Link to comment
Hardwyre Posted February 15, 2012 Report Share Posted February 15, 2012 Run Megasquirt or similar custom ECU that lets you eliminate the distributor entirely and run a crank position sensor off of the pulleys up front. It's an L28 in this picture, but that gives you an idea of what I did. Some day I should probably properly affix the trigger disc to the pulley, but it is pretty damn secure as is. You COULD use a custom CAS disc and sensor that is inside of the SR20's dizzy, but then you still have the problem with having a dizzy in your firewall. Plus, Megasquirt lets you run coil packs!
