A happy datsun fan! I still have all the parts with the hotrod for sale. I Built This Truck as a old School Hot Rod!! What you could build in 1978 I built in 2005 JDM Mad Blade 3 piece lightweight racing wheels these were NOT sold in the USA! VERY RARE!! I've had em from 05, Are very good to excellent condition for about 20 years old? these wheels alone are worth about $2000!? I searched and searched the internet for more of these wheels (for a spare) I could only find 2 a guy had in Europe he wanted $400 a piece for them, He would not sell only one and they were not in that good of condition. BFgoodrich 225/60/15 traction TA tires 40-50%? tread left on them I'm asking $5500 FIRM!! for the hot rod........ SOLD! the stock 77 NOTE!!!!! This is a factory AIR conditioning truck and still has all the factory parts in the truck, Except for compressor it needs some custom mounts welded up and installed cleaned, charged, etc, and you'll have AIR!! If you buy the Hot Rod you get ALL the NOS parts that I have to go with this factory air 78 custom V6 swap, Parts that I have been collecting for years are and will go with this truck and only this truck WILL BE included with sale of the 78 Hot Rod truck. $5500.00 CASH FIRM! I have owned the 78 for almost 20 years been saving parts for the paint job the truck needs. I have and nothing wrong with the parts on truck now.... 2 NEW fenders, (fenders are good on the truck) 2 NOS fender plastic liners (these are always broke, gone, or missing on the 620 datsuns the 78 STILL! has the original ones! on it and I also have a NOS set of them. VARY RARE! I have a new LOF tinted windshield, it's the best quality one, outer door window weatherstrips, door bumpers, hood bumpers, visor holders, dome light lens, rear window weatherstrip, set of new brake drums with shoes, springs, and rear wheel brake cylinder kit, set of rebuilt disc brake calipers for the hot rod, (brakes are good on truck now) A new NOS heater control valve, A set of euro tail light lens(all lenses good on the truck, fronts on it now are (new NOS). 4 brake adjuster rubber boots, New NOS wiper linkage bushings, A plastic dash cover. The 78 has a new front bumper on it (one piece, no seems! have all new NOS bumper end mounting hardware parts) new NOS front turn lenses I rebuilt most of the frontend on the hot rod...the tie rods, bottom ball joints, center link, idler arm, all front end parts that I could do when off the truck, were cleaned and painted, Engine compartment looks very nice. The hot rod 78 has a healthy rebuit 1979 buick 231 C.I. 3.8 LT. Engine has all new parts bored .30 over, 9.5 to 1 CR, ARP rod bolts, Polished crank with standard main, .001 oversize rod bearings, Rhoads lifters, new push rods, timing chain healthy cam, minor port polish gasket match to heads and Edelbrock performer manifold with 500 cfm weber/carter carb, $400 custom dual exaust with crossover pipe, dual Raptor mufflers, custom built $130, 5 quart deep sump oil pan, high torque chevy mini starter, A Bowtie Overdrives of Ca. 2004R lockup torque converter overdrive Stage II performance built $1300 transmission, B&M shifter, Custom drive line, $430 BECOOL aluminum radiator, remote radiator cap overflow tank, 2 electric fans, 2 trans coolers, 1 trans intercooler, custom transmissions lines, Tach, 2 water tempgauges on it, has A $125 adjustable water temp switch gauge for the second electric fan. truck runs 205 210 but never overheats. has a vacuum gauge, A trans temp and even a transmission pressure gauge! I was not going to burn up $2000 Engine or $1300 trans! 1"aftermarket front anti-sway bar, notched and modified crossmember, I have a new in the box 5/8" rear anti-sway bar(not installed) Truck handles very nice at speed more like a sports car than an old datsun truck. The hot rod is a blast to drive! it's a real sleeper! I live in mountain country built this truck as a highway cruiser, it runs out real nice! it's quick and it's fast! I have done alot of custom work installing this engine right and it looks good too! just to many little things done to go over all them best to call if you really want all the info on what I've done to this truck. I have over $7,000 in this truck building it. Took me 8 months of figuring and fabricating to make everything work. I have kids tell me they will just build their own? you can't do it any cheaper and get the truck I have built. There are still many things on both these trucks needing finished etc. 78 needs new (included) buick stock engine mounts bolted up to engine and adapter mounts that are shimed and bolted together now welded up. Trans mount on 78 needs re-done differently (have plans) I drive them daily with ZERO problems. The hot rod has disc brakes front and all in good working order my number is 541 274 9427 if you like to hear either of these trucks run? you can call on the phone hear them? the hot rod has a real nice rumpity rump idle to it! once it warms up! The paint is SHOT does need a paint job has dents, dings, scratches. etc. will need the minor body work and paint. both truck run great and is a daily driver and mechanically sound, minor problems to fix on it. I got everything working just need the fine tuning of a few things, needing fixed, finished, re-done etc The seats in the hot rod are held together with duct tape, some extra foam and have 3? layers of cheap seat covers on them, they need seat covers on them anyway but the seats need reupholstered. the Hot rod I've have for 20 year new/er carpet are very clean inside, painted dash, panels, et, etc, with correct plastic/vinyl paint, Both are daily drivers so have some wear. I posted more pics showing the dinged and rusted back bumpers, the thin paint and surface rust on the roofs of the trucks, I'm trying to show you the worst of the problems with these trucks. All original paint except for some fender and door touch ups, so nothing serious being hid with bondo and new paint, What you see is what you get. The 78 hot rod is in good condition, has 300,000 on the truck but low miles about 12-15 thousand in 7 YEARS! on the V6 with regular oil and air, fuel filters. etc, etc, The glass in the 78 is all good windshield has a small bullet under passenger wiper (new winshield with truck) minor scratches on door glasses etc. and the back window of the 77 has some burn spots, pitting, from welding slag hitting it from someone cutting or welding on something sitting in the bed of the truck have some mild to mederate rust in it, normal amount, nothing severe. I do have one good back bumper, it's a black painted one was going to put it on the hot rod insted of the chrome, hot rod is black and blue! can include with a truck/s. Link to comment
