$3,500 1975 Datsun 710 for sale (Seattle,WA)

Hey everyone, long time 710 lurker here,

I am selling my 1975 Datsun 710. This car has been my reliable daily driver for the past three years as well as being my first car. I am the third owner of this car, but the first owner up until 2009 has garaged it logging 180,000 miles with regular services at Datsun/Nissan garages since 1976. The reason I have decided to sell is because I have bought another car and can no longer keep this one protected in the garage.

This 710 is a two-door sedan with 4 seats. The color, “012 metallic silver”, and paint are original. It is powered by the stock OHC L20b motor original to the car and is a three-speed automatic. The Hitachi carburetor has been rebuilt and I have replaced the fluids, spark plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter. There have been no cosmetic or mechanical modifications to the car and there is no corrosion or damage to the car externally. Overall, the car is very much as original as it was rolling from the dealership. There is no damage to the body or mechanicals in any way. Internally, the only rust present is in the trunk wheel well. That will need to be treated and repaired before the spare can be placed in the trunk. Other than this patch, the car is very much corrosion free. I have also replaced the brake discs and pads. The front tie rod ends and bushings have been replaced as well. The car stops and handles incredibly well and although an automatic, really pulls when you push the pedal!

Internally the interior is in very good condition apart from one seat, which would need eventual replacement. The heater and air conditioning are installed, but will need reconnecting to get working. I am certain though that the heater core will need replacing before the heater can work. The only gauge that does not work is engine temperature and the clock. The original AM radio is installed and works flawlessly.

Included with the car are the original owners manual, a maintenance handbook, the original owner’s service card, original jack, wheel stops, and wheel brace. I have all the legal documents for the car as well.

The 710 is a very uncommon car and I have not seen another in person through my entire time owning it. Roughly the same compact size as the Datsun 510, this car shares its underpinnings as its more recognized sibling. I have really enjoyed driving this car and am certain that if someone were looking for a classic car that will be reliable every day, this would be the car. It will be hard handing over the keys, but this will be a great car for someone looking for an original car to preserve and drive.

I am asking $3500 or best offer.

*As a note, the Watanabe RS wheels shown in these photos will NOT be sold with the car. Instead, the original wheels will be sold on the car along with two sets of hubcaps. (The original 710 hubcaps as well as a fresh set of 1973 hubcaps from a 510)

Do they want to buy a set of bumper's for it ?

I told the new owner about the bumpers and forwarded your adverts to the new owner. He seemed really interested in them, but he is headed to Malaysia next week to celebrate the new year with family. Don't know when he'd be back.
