frisco510 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 Hay im new to all this 510/DATSUN. I have a 72 wagon with a l20b,with the double carbs, and 5 speed dogleg. I have had had it for about 2 weeks and im going to rebuild the motor. What options do i have with the l20?? I seen that i can put a z22 crank,KA24 pistons,l20 rods and all have to do is bore my block 4mm. any input will great. not looking to fully built motor but a lil more than stock. datsunfish Posted April 8, 2008 Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 Double carbs and L20b is better than stock.Dont bother to modify the L20 block.It is fine as it is.You can get a 2.2 or 2.4 block if you need.I personally like the L20b and L18s.Ported head and mani with header or old style exhaust mani and weber rocks.L16 is pretty limp though.
