1986 Fiero GT (Trade)

Looking to trade for a 510, or something around that. Not looking for a truck.

 

 

4 speed manual, 156k miles

 

Goods:

 

Runs strong

2 new digital oil/temp gauges (Paid over 200$)

put new ebrake springs on

All new tune up (Plugs, wires, rotor, cap, oxygen sensor)

Comes with FULL service manual

 

 

 

Bads:

 

I rebuilt the headlight motor but it's not working correctly (Passenger side)

Headliner needs glued

Normal seat wear (Hole just on the drivers side lapel)

 

 

 

 

I live in SOUTHERN INDIANA near louisville, so anyone willing to meet close would be awesome.

Always like the fiero's looks. When It came out I said to my friends you know GM would hit a home run if they were to offer a 3.8 turbo option on that car. Guess they weren't listening to me.

 

I wish they would have too. The 2.8 is reliable but not a powerhouse by any means.

Not caring for the 2.8 at all sorry. Also the GM V6s sound terrible, why is that?

 

 

On a side note doesn't a 305 fit in there?Think I saw one once.

 

 

a Caddy 4.9 V8 will shoehorn in, as will the Northstar. I have seen LS1 engines squeezed in.

 

Pontiac had planned a 3.8 version for 89/90 but the fiero was discontinued in '88. The GT in 88 performed almost as well as the Ferrari Maranello 308 for a fraction of the price.

I'd have to disagree on it not sounding good. I think they did an amazing job with the exhaust on these cars. Unless you mean in some other way?

 

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 2.8 unless you're looking for a powerhouse.

 

 

Also they can basically fit any GM motor in these. Which is also why they are so popular.
