jon521
hey, so id like to have some door switches for my dome light and maybe some other aftermarket lights in my truck, but my truck doesnt have door switches. it has the holes for them, but no wires or anything. does anyone else have door switches in there 521? if so, do they look stock? i was either going to go to the JY to find some switches off a courier or a 620 or something small like that or just buy some generic switches, but id like to know if 521s came with switches and mine were just taken out or what. probably dont need a whole tread for this, but i just thought id ask Thanks Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Probably the same as the 510 switches. Check Ebay for the 510 switches. Quote Link to comment

jon521
620 switches seem like they could work. 15 bucks new or could just pull some from a yard http://www.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-240Z-510-620-1200-2-INTERIOR-DOOR-LIGHT-SWITCH-/310348762042?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item48423a4bba 510 switches slightly different than the 620 switches http://www.ebay.com/itm/DATSUN-240Z-510-620-1200-2-INTERIOR-DOOR-LIGHT-SWITCH-/160551267870?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item256199ee1e Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I would just use one of those. Maybe the 620 needs a smaller whole? But the 510 switches look a lot nicer. Quote Link to comment
jon521
thats true. the 510 ones look like they just kind of clip into place? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I think so, but mine havent come out. They dont seem to want to. Quote Link to comment

Your second link looks just like 620 switches. Do you currently have an interior light at all? If you do, adding door pin wiring should be super simple. EDIT: looks like you should have some factory wiring from the fuse box as a Red/yellow strip wire to the interior light, door switches appear optional. wayno
Are these switches near the hinges, or located like the 720 at the back of the door? Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
The hood switch for the engine compartment light will work. If you get one of the new style dome lights there are 2 wires instead of the stock 1 power wire. The other wire you can run to each door. 620 door switches work too. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
New style in upper left pic with the lense clips on the inside instead of the outside sold on ebay and nissan parts.cc Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
The best upgrade I ever did besides the ei dizzy. I grab these when I'm at the yard they will work in the doors. Take the bottom screw off and clean the surface. Quote Link to comment
