FoxyRoadster
So I've been offered an 89 Porsche in trade for the datsun... I've always wanted a badass widebody porsche, but again I've always wanted a fairlady as well... Only catch is Porsche is missing the engine, but transmission is still there, No interior, full cage, Its damn sexy I wont lie. Quote Link to comment
KC Phirus
Roadster for a porsche with no engine or interior. Nay Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
The engine alone will cost more than you have in the Datsun to date. Beware VW van engines sold as Porsche engines, not the same. Tip off is the location of the oil fill, don't own either so can't tell you which is which, someone will chime in. Then there's the interior. Quote Link to comment
SKkeeterZ
What kind of porch Quote Link to comment

Then there's the interior. I was thinking cheaper rotary or LSx powered solutions.. I have below 5k into my roadster now.. So kinda hard to let go. Interior is no issue with me, I'd have removed it anyways.. None of my cars have interior pieces for some reason. Quote Link to comment

SKkeeterZ
The cheapest easiest way to go would be a tarbo subbie motor out of a 2.5rs or a STI Quote Link to comment
INDY510
. after seeing pics of your roadster ..... .. a porsche without a motor would be less work .......... ..... . good luck either way.... you'll need it Quote Link to comment
SKkeeterZ
If the had running gear to work off of I would say go for it Quote Link to comment

paradoxx
IMO, the porsche 944 is the worst design,is ugly, but again, its my taste. Personally,if you are thinking of investing some money to reconstruct the porsche, I would rather invest that money on the datsun and have a abadd ass Datto. This without the amount of money to spend in spare parts, datsun parts are cheaper. but in the end,is your money, your taste and your will. :D Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Go for it. A chevy V8 is powerful and cheap. Quote Link to comment

darrel
Just recently I had a friend that sold his '70 240z and bought his dream car a 911. Less than 3 months later he sold the 911. Mainly it was the other porsche owners. Costs for upgrades could have been the other reason. Quote Link to comment

INDY510
. Is that really the base car for these Rauh Welt Built porsches??? ...... . Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I like them. It is a hard call. Roadster to Porsche, not sure if parts are really that much more for the porsche, and I expect a little better parts availability. Quote Link to comment
yello620
I would ditch the roadster for a 911(bodystyle) in a heartbeat. Pics of said car for trade?? One of the cars that i plan to own someday will be a 70's 911. Quote Link to comment
