ComicArtist
Finally got the camber plates, been trying to get them in. Only got the fronts done last night, but it'll probably be awhile before I can work on it again, since classes restart tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
Alex Datsun
Lol in the same dilemma kind of, my fronts are done but i cant weld so my rears arent in. You use a mig welder? Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
that looks like stick weld... gonna put anymore weld around the skimpy spots? just remember those welds are holding the car up.. Quote Link to comment
ComicArtist
It's flux core. That one was hard because it kept burning through the metal. Gonna go back and touch it up, and probably put some tacks on the underside too. Quote Link to comment
WAGON JON
.....then grind it all down pretty and no one will know.... Quote Link to comment

ComicArtist
I need more Katy Perry..... this thing has been at a standstill for a week and it's killing me... on the bright side I'm moving into a house, so I can work in a garage instead of my parking spot at the apartment. 1 Quote Link to comment
ComicArtist
My ghetto-rigged battery relocation finally failed. Burned up the starter cable the other night so it won't even start now. Gotta get new cable, run it all the way from the starter to the back, and run a couple extra grounds to the transmission. Also, have a garage now. Baller status. Quote Link to comment
JZ33
got any miata advice for me...? Picked one up for my mom but its just a temp car for her and then it goes to me... what should I stay away from as far as mods or look for specifically? Quote Link to comment
ComicArtist
What do you want to do with it? There's tons of stuff available. Not the ideal chassis for drifting or anything, but they're great grip cars and just fun in general. Quote Link to comment
JZ33
i mainly do grip, auto-x stuff haha id like to drift it a little... nothing crazy but just for fun... Quote Link to comment
jalen
you have me falling in love With Katy Perry haha Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
My ghetto-rigged battery relocation finally failed. Burned up the starter cable the other night so it won't even start now. Gotta get new cable, run it all the way from the starter to the back, and run a couple extra grounds to the transmission. If its in the passenger cabin then, You don't have to run a new long battery cable all the way to the transmission bellhousing if you don't want to. Run a short cable ground anywhere on body that you can bolt down ... make sure clean metal and good contact ... good to go .... if inside cab area gets wet put it up higher. Run a second body to engine ground for extra insurance. Test your starter at this point to make sure it wont leave you stranded at Katy perry's mansion with those big ol binoculars lolz 1 Quote Link to comment
ComicArtist
Thanks man! I'll give it a shot. I would advise against getting Raceland coils.... they're good if youre slamming on a budget and if you get ISC tophts.... but if you don't, they'll blow in 6 months. Get some good coilovers, extend your RUCAs, get a comfortable bucket seat, a good radiator, and exhaust/intake mods are fun. Quote Link to comment
JZ33
Ya, I already read up on the racelands haha but compared to 350Z coils, the miata ones are CHEAP! So getting nice ones will be a priority. Ill build my own exhaust, for it and the Datsun. Took it on a Touge run tonight and I LOVE it haha I hope my Datsun lives up to it with the coils... any updates on your flares!? Quote Link to comment
jalen
To keep you going Quote Link to comment
ComicArtist
If only the camera guy had gotten there a few minutes earlier..... Quote Link to comment

Love taking curves, now that the welded diff is gone. As far as coilover brands, I'd suggest Stance or BC Racing. Stances go pretty low, and if you order the special low package from BC, they'll go low as well. Both are awesome quality. And the flares won't be going on until the wheels go on. Lol. ComicArtist
All the way down in the rear, about halfway in the front Quote Link to comment
jalen
I'm thinking about doing the dc2 coils, how high is your ride height with them all the way up? Quote Link to comment
