wooo hooooo!

the shittin thing is done!

the cow tail sealed up the hole in the rad without an issue..

it took a good while to get the cooling system kinda de-bubbled... it wanted to overheat the first time i took it out.

even with going from the 3 to 2 core rad it cools like it used to with the single cam. never gets past the half mark, and usually hangs around a high 1/4 mark. dont even have to use the fan most of the time.

the upper hose didnt turn out too bad... was hopin it would be a little closer, but it turned out like this...

well, i hope i dont have a problem.

when i drive slowly (anything from stop up to about 35) im getting this squeaking and grinding noise from the drive rear wheel...

sooo, im hopin its not a wheel bearing tearin shit up.. i gotta still get home from work and i dont want it locking up if it is a bearing.

but, its not howling or growling like a bearing does tho.

kinda sounds like it could be brake hardware thats broken and just freewheelin around. im hopin this is the case.. i dont wanna pull an axle from the junkyard..

gonna pull it apart when i get home to inspect whats going on..

and then movie night.. gonna see mad max with the wifey.

well mad max was meh... cool, but kinda boring..

in any case, did pop the wheel and drum off... havent pulled the axle yet, but will here after work i think.

there was evidence of a rock or some rocks in the drum..

the sound has stopped entirely now too. it quit on the way home yesterday.

sooo, im not sure whats up for sure, but we'll see...

played around with some simple tuning on the KA.

gave it some more timing, and set the idle down a little more.

it runs really well now with the extra timing.. still havnt gotten a light on it yet, but it runs well here and isnt pinging yet.

other than that, its the same ol same ol..

i did finally get all the shit out of it from canby though..

not gonna be alot going on with this now that canby is over.

buuuut, it doesnt mean i wont still be workin on a datsun of ours...

i wanna take 2 datsuns next year...
