"U" or "C" channel on doors and 1/4 windows

Does anyone make this stuff for universal applications? Mine is old and stiff (that's what she said) and I'd like to replace it.

 

Doesnt need to be a perfect factory match but needs to be functional and trim the pinch weld around the door and 1/4 window and also keeps the edge of the headliner in place Thanks.

Any upholstery supply store will have it, and it's pretty cheap. Sold by the foot on a big roll.

I believe what you're looking for is Welting.

 

The stuff can be had at almost any upholstery shop as most older vehicles used it.

The difference between most of that, and the OEM Nissan welting is that it isn't quite as big as the original...but it fits the same nonetheless. Just doesn't fit as 'deep'.

I google welting and all I get is fender welting, like the bead thats beetween a volkwagen bug fender and the body.

 

 

 

I serched ebay and theres one auction that looks correct but its called rubber pvc edging. And its from another country of corse. Grr. Guess I'll take my old stuff into a shop.
