slodat
I put one of these on my car yesterday and thought there may be others who are interested in getting one. This is what Kelvin posted on the BB list: ...Cody was mentioning his DAMB steering box plate "replica". He asked if I sold them. At the time I didn't. Knowing I'd need one for the new car and a couple other people wanted them I decided to have some built. Laser cut and yellow zinc plated. For $25/delivered I know I'd never build another one by hand. I did have order 20 of them, so the initial purchase price was significant. If anyone is interested, hit me offline (kelvin@datsuns.com). I've used these on all my cars and while they might not provide as much bracing as the MadDat Brace they do make a significant difference. Some even put them behind the idler arm bolts, too. I'd sell two for $43 at this point, should you want to go that way. Only have 20. That batch might last forever. It might go quickly. No idea how many might be interested. I intend to keep 5 or so. This might be the only batch I do. Get your DAMB Steering Box Plate now! :^) Pics at http://www.datsun510.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3696&size=big&cat= http://www.datsun510.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=10697&size=big&cat= The yellow one is what I'm selling. The other was hand-built and painted. Quote Link to comment

slodat
It goes in the fender well and distributes the clamping force of the three bolts across the surface of the frame "rail". The photo above shows one installed. Quote Link to comment
