Anyone around Vancouver/Portland have a 280Z dash?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was wondering if any fellow Ratsunners had a dash that would fit my 280Z. I need one to experiment with for trying to locate my 7" touch screen where the gauges are. I'd like one that is structurally sound and rebuildable; but I'd like to avoid cutting up one that is in good condition. I intend on recovering the whole thing once I'm finished, so cracked and split pads are fine with me. Thanks folks.

I was thinking of installing the same thing on my 240, but by fabricating a custom heater/stereo bezel that would relocate the ac and heater controls higher, remove the map light, and make enough room at the bottom to have the screen. The only part I wouldn't like is having to look so far away from the road to use it.

I was thinking of moving the gauges down to where the radio normally is, relocate the radio itself to the glovebox area and remote-wire the face plate up into the visor or something, then install the LCD in a re-designed area where the gauges used to be. And if I wrapped the dash in a nice quality vinyl, it probably would have a similar look to the original pad.
