brodster
On a budget, but want to finally upgrade the 510 to disc all the way around. I am looking at doing the standard 280zx brakes (strut setup, etc.) and the Maxima/200sx brakes in the rear with Compressions brackets. Right now I have a set of 13" wheels, which almost certainly won't work. I am considering two wheels right now that seem to come up often on craigslist: 15" 280zx: 14" 6 point: Does anyone know for certain that either of these two will work without interference problems? I just don't want to waste money right now. Thanks Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Well, if what you're putting on are 280zx brakes, and those are 280zx wheels, you should be golden. ;) Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
For sure the smaller 6 spokes work on the zx struts brakes cuz that is what I am running. Quote Link to comment

For sure the smaller 6 spokes work on the zx struts brakes cuz that is what I am running. That's good to know because those are my top pick, given their weight and all. I am wondering about the back though. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
make sure and get the lug nut's. That is sound advice! They suck to have to find. Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
They are specific to the wheels. No other lugnuts fit really*** I am running some generic ebay lugnuts, which are advertized as Toyota lugnuts with a nissan thread pitch. Quote Link to comment
zerow
make sure and get the lug nut's. +1 The lugnuts are meant to fit the wheels perfectly. The wheels you show are, as previously stated, 280ZX wheels, and will fit with no problems. The 14" 200SX wheels I am running required a 1/4" spacer to work on the front, and were good to go on the back...same setup you are planning with the 280ZX front brakes and the Maxima/200SX swap on the rear with Compression's brackets. Perfect! I am assuming that both 14" and 15" 280zx wheels won't be a problem on the back then. Quote Link to comment

The Dat-side
If you have the opportunity, go with the 15", swastikas, they seem to be more sought after and less common. Quote Link to comment

I will be proud when the 510 is up and running again. If you have the opportunity, go with the 15", swastikas, they seem to be more sought after and less common. To be honest if either wheel came up for a killer deal I would jump on it. A set of swazi's are available in Idaho right now for a good price, but that is a bit of a trek! For performance reasons, I would prefer the 14", but from a weight and diameter perspective, both are pretty close. Quote Link to comment
