Pennvalleydimer Posted December 3, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 3, 2011 Have not done an update in a while so here are some new pics..... down to bare metal for some filler work then after some filler work.... and now squirt on some primer.... and now for the re-assembly... and a final note.. when cleaning up and using air to get off all the dust wear some safety glasses. shortly after the last photo i got a piece of metal in my lower eyelid and had to go to urgent care to get it taken out : - ( that was not fun at all. Skib Posted March 21, 2012 Report Share Posted March 21, 2012 so Tom ripped the L18 out of the 710 stripping it down and getting ready to swap out his L16 bottom end for a soon to be fresh L18 bottom end motor was crazy clean. looks like super low miles and its only ever had maintenance work done, never been takin out of the car before. Toms tossing in all new bearings, rings, ect to make it fresh again :cool: Quote Link to comment

Skib Posted March 24, 2012 Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 Tom got the L18 bottom end rebuilt and starting pulling his L16. lol little did he know its actually a SSS L16 :rofl: so the L18 will be getting his 219 head and everything else off the SSS L16 and theres a 480/292 cam in it :lol: gonna be a pretty badass L18 Quote Link to comment

I forgot to take pics after the sandblasting and jumped straight to the primer stage.... layed on some good ol' DP40 epoxy primer then laid on 2 nice coats of bright ass Kawasaki green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
