l16 with webber carb and possible dogleg trans

i have a running l16 with a webber 8427 carb with billet aluminam spacers it runs. im thinkig i want around obo for the whole swap

 

and no itss not a dogleg so price drop

i dont have time to figure out how to ship it.

 

 

im parting out the truck ill i wont is the cab fenders and bed it is a 72 620 truck

Is the shift pattern reverse above first like this:

 

R-2-4

1-3-5 (dogleg)

 

OR

 

1-3-5

2-4-R (not a dogleg) :lol:

it must not be... i just dont remember ever seeing an oil pan ish thing on the bottom of my other l series trans and i was looking at pics and they looked close if they were the right pics...so ill drop the price to $250 for whole swap sound good ?

It may not be a dogleg, so what? First is it for sure a 5 speed? If so it could be other than a dogleg. Doglegs are fine but an FS5W71B 5 speed is stronger and much more heavy duty than the dogleg, plus it has an array of different gear and overdrive ratios. Don't drop the price simply because it might not be a dogleg. Find out what you have.

 

Take and post some pictures of it.

Looks like the stock F4W63 4 speed that comes on the '72-'73 620. This transmission is almost indistinguishable from the 510 goon 4 speed. Too bad but better to know now.

well maybe it looked funny cuz of its the earlyist datsun transmission iv owned...

 

mike is it cool if i make a revised add for the whole part out of the truck with the correct information...
