'70 521 L16
i bought the header before i lost my job so i'm selling it so i can get some cash towards a welder and hopefully make some progress before i go insane. there's a very little dusty surface rust on the lower portion just from sitting since i pulled it out of the box but we all know these things should be painted prior to use anyway. it's never been installed though. i'll toss in a gasket too just for good measure. i'm looking for $125 since i paid like 200+ for it but looking at all the others around here i'm thinking i might've gotten ripped off when i bought it. shipping from memphis but i might be able to get you a discount. wayno
I would be interested, it is for a 521, correct. My zip is 98683, give me a total. you have paypal? Link to comment
'70 521 L16
It's not vehicle specific to my knowledge but then again I never did test fit it. I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as it clears the underside of the cab/transmission. I'll get you a total and pm you. Link to comment

datzenmike
Ah, a car header has to clear the steering box and a truck has to clear the torsion bar. Trust me, I tried a car one on a 521. Link to comment

wayno
It looks like a shorty except for the long downpipe, I am not saying it is, it just looks like one in this photo. Link to comment

'70 521 L16
Can't figure out how to post pictures from my phone but here's the link. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/alliwanadoislive/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8910.jpg It looks good to me. The header is a little bit longer but the end of it hits the existing flange in about the same spot if I try to line it up. If anything you'd have to beat the downpipe into shape but I really don't think you'd even have to do that. Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
One does not have to use that down pipe as supplied. One can cut the collector shorter and bend a new pipe to clear the torsion bar. but these are the common used ones. PS get it ceramic coated!!!!!!!!!! Link to comment

wayno
The header arrived today.:D In all my life, I never seen a header packed like it was a robins egg before, I mean this thing could be bouncing off the walls and not get damaged the way it was packed.  Thankyou for shipping in a timely manner Daniel, I actually forgot it was coming, so got a surprize today. Still waiting for my roomba battery though. :( Link to comment
