Pull and Save/Spaldins is a opening a new "you pull it lot" in Mead. They will have 20 acres of just inventory (their current lot is about 20 acres with the buildings and back storage). It will be located on the corner of Parksmith Drive and Market Street, near the new 395 corridor. They are shooting for a late october opening but there isn't an exact date yet. Im super stoked and you can bet your Datsun luvin ass that I will be there opening day!!!

Mead? isn't that really just "North Hillyard"?

Keep us posted on Datsun parts, there are a lot of them in the Northwest

Yeah, creepy is in Spokane. Owns Graveyard Graphics. I'm torn between thinking the new pull and save is a good thing or not. The pick and pull has dirt cheap prices but doesn't take anything back. For me, I'd much rather do it that way. PNS tends to be greedy, a lot of times they dick you for every little thing. Like if you pull a motor, you better pull the distributor, carburetor, etc. Otherwise they charge you extra which is bullshit. A motor should include everything on the block.

Sometimes they're not too bad, but unlike pick n pull, which operates just for the amusement of having a wrecking yard, PNS is a business. Granted a business should make money, but a lot of the old shit we try and grab, they want a premium for. They also are getting anal about charging cores. And when you're building 510s, you usually don't have cores for things you're buying because you're using parts from other rigs.

I suppose we'll see when it opens, I just hope it doesn't become too expensive to be any value. If that happens, they'll just make their money crushing cars, which means less Datsuns and Datsun parts for us.

Yep, Fred (the owner of Pick N Pull) ROCKS. I love his place.

I hope it doesn't impact him too much. I'm thinking it might tend to bring some people his way also though, because they will be so close by. (kind of like when furniture stores all seem to be located next to each other). I love Pick N Pull myself, it has a much better home type feel to it, lol. The one plus to pull n save is, they turn a lot of cars very quickly, so the inventory is always changing.

Creepy,

Do you know Dave Price? He was (maybe still is) in a mini-truck club in spokane. drives a 90's standard cab short bed chevy bagged and has the '99 front end conversion. He is one of my buddies from sandpoint and it seemed like he always had graveyard graphic stickers.

Yeah, I wonder how many tons of cars have been crushed over the years at Spaldings? I'm sure the actual figure would be staggering.

Todd, as for Pick n Pull, it's pretty much the last gasp. From what I gathered talking to his daughter he's not really going to try and compete, in fact, pick n pull may not be around much longer as a wrecking yard. Sad, but it's not worth it to him. And really it's a pretty hard battle to fight. Spalding's has the buying power in the area.

However, Whitey's and Bill's Ford and Jeeps are still doing well I think, so there is at least a little competition.

On an unrelated note/thread hijacking, did you hear the Hot Rod Cafe (Post Falls) closed their doors the other day? Truly shitty.
