Llittle_Llama
i did search, and nothing, i have a haynes manual but i know how to do it so, i just need to know if it's a pain in the ass or not. i gotta change the oil, so i bought a new oil pan gasket. i was gunna do a motor flush when i first got it, but i swapped the valve cover gasket and it was spotless! no need to flush. so i wanted to pull the pan and look for sludge and repaint and reinstall while i cannot drive it (those fucking 20's rub) so let me know :) Quote Link to comment
nismopu
just remove the center brace under neath the pan to make it easier, other than that its, "easy like pie." peace. Quote Link to comment
Llittle_Llama
thANKS, i'll be back in a few to ask more questions as i will be dumbfounded, lol Quote Link to comment
Fineline
I think you have to pop the center link loose as well. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If you loosen both lock nuts and count the number of turns until one side comes undone (and record) then continue turning till the other side is unscrewed you can put it back exactly and not loose your toe setting. Raise both wheels off the ground for this. Quote Link to comment

yello620
The 620 dosent have the adjustable center link. Mine had to be disconected at the ball joints. My 620 is ONLY adjustable at the centerlink. The outer tie rods assemblies do not have any adjuster on them. The oil pan job is a real pain in the ass:D. It is so hard to do that you should just scrap it and install a KA:lol:. That will make it all better. Jason Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Dont waist your time. Whats the point? If its clean up top ,the bottom is fine. Dont be messing with the center linkage if you dont have too, what are you thinking? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Thanks Hainz... WTF were we thinkn'???? Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
DatzenMike I changed mine cause I overtighten the bolts and split the gasket. To make a long story short I loosen the motor mounts or the bolts and lifted the motor with a jack under the trans. Slide the new gasket under the sump tube pick uThis was the hardest) and tighten everything down. Quote Link to comment
Bleach
oh ya, careful putting those little bolts in that hold the oil pan on. Don't overtighten! Use a torque wrench and torque them down as the manual says. Otherwise, just snug them up. There are a lot so they do not need to be too tight. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
If you don't want it leaking anytime soon use that stuff... Quote Link to comment
Llittle_Llama
doesn't really leak, i just thought if it was easy i would throw it on, lol. was 7 dollars at the part store......i guess i'll just take it back. gotta finish pulling the ka motor anyway...... Quote Link to comment
kiznook
you will end up spending a LOT of money on parts if you buy stuff just because it's cheap. Don't take it back, you'll need it eventually. But next time, don't buy something if it doesn't need it! Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
ummmm, I have a question....my truck runs great and is super clean. Do you guys think I should do a complete frame-up and swap in one of those Japanese turbo motors? I have all this money and time and nothing to do.... :fu: Quote Link to comment
