6 hole flex plate or l16/18 block

Recommended Posts

The L16 in my dime is slowly reaching its end.It has a perculiar knock/rattle in the bottom end.It think it is a connecting rod issue or a wrist pin.I dont want it to die on me while driving so I plan to swap out the motor soon.

I have a l20b and a napsz 24.I would throw in the l20b if I had the 6 hole flex plate for the auto tranny.I plan to make a lz 24 but that wont be for a while and I dont want it to sit around.

I would also be willing to throw in a L16 or 18 so long as it is a good block without blowby or knocking issues. If I do get the flexplate I will probably use the l20b and build the 24 for the 521.

Let me know.

I have all that stuff,, but you would heve to drove down by Eugene oregon to get it....

I need to check the flexplates,, I have two. They might be 5 hole.. There the ones you need to use a JDM engine ..

The 1600 is the kind you buy from NAPA rebuilt. this motor ran as strong as most 2000 , but was swap ed out for a 2000,

years later my son tells me he overheated the 1600,, But I think thats BS, he just wanted a 2000 and 5spd

I mailed a L/Z auto flex plate from Vancouver Island to Reno, Nevada in a pizza box in 8 days for about $12. For $12, I just sent it to him and forgot about it. Didn't need it, and helped clear out some junk. A few weeks later he sent me a '78 FSM so we're even.

L16/L18... 5 bolt

L20B/Z20/Z22/Z24/KA24....6 bolt
