WeRideNTruX Posted August 29, 2011 Report Share Posted August 29, 2011 went to the u-pull-it today looking for parts for my 720 4x4 and found alot of good stuff. one thing im looking for though is c200 axle shafts and/or r180/c200/h190 with lower gears (33s and 4.11s suck) but hardly any of the trucks had the axle code on the doors, so my question is where else could i find the codes to know the gear ratio im getting? datzenmike Posted August 29, 2011 Report Share Posted August 29, 2011 On the 720, D21 and WD21 look on the inner passenger side inner fender below the hood hinge. It's not listed on the earlier 620. The D21 ('86-'89) 4x4 with Z24i motor had C200 and 4.375 The '89-'92s were 4.11 with the KA-E motor. VG motors got the H233 Quote Link to comment

Codes are like this: HA - H145 HB - H150 HC - H165 HD - H190 HE - H190 HF - H190A e.g. HF39 means H190 with 3.9 gearset. Axle code is on the engine compartment ID plate, like this: They didn't change to a door tag until the mid-80s. Quote Link to comment
