bonvo
today micros thread inspired me to do some work as some of you know (if you read back that far) my car is a 73 and came with the 73 front end parts but the drivers fender was rather fucked then at one point i borrowed a set of hammers and dollys and started working on it [/url] and from there i just left them and never touched them well today i dug them out again and tapped on them some more the good one the not so good one after about a half hour after about another half hour comparison this was a bitch to try and bring the shape back and finally one of me actually working now its just about ready for some filler then some sanding and painting then i can run my 73 front end 4 Quote Link to comment
RedBanner
I like the older frontends alot. Going to be awsome! Quote Link to comment
bonvo
everyone likes the early front ends lol my hope is to get it passible maybe not show quality at least not yet but passible and once the car gets the rust fixed and real paint have the fender fixed professionally i do plann to flare this car so perfect isnt manditory at least around the wheel well openings Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Nice! I detest body work, but if you don't get in there and get after it, it won't get done. I have to do a little at a time, leave and come back to it. Takes time, but it gets done quicker that way, atleast for me. Well done! Quote Link to comment
bonvo
body work in my opinion is an art form and its something i want to learn to do properly but for now ill dabble and go off threads ive seen by the keeper internet research and just going for it im finding that hammer and dolly work isnt as difficult as i thought just tedious and time consuming Quote Link to comment
Spoona_Jay21
i love how this is turning out. i love your 610 man! Quote Link to comment
bonvo
well justjoel let me borrow these and taught me a few things so ive been workin on the left front fender some more almost to the point that i want to put some filler on it Quote Link to comment
ProjectFeint
That's coming out to the point where minimal filler will be sufficient! I have a drivers side lens with the gasket and chrome I'll sell if you need one B) Quote Link to comment
bonvo
thats the idea i dont like the idea of alot of filler on my car its my first adventure in body work and i want to do it "right" im already unhappy that my hood has to be bondo magic due to the way it was screwed up if i cant get these to where im happy im sure a body shop can get them perfect with minimal effort from this point Quote Link to comment
