datsunfreak
I'm sure I asked you this already, but what flares are these? 1 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
junk e-bay ones... almost every rivet cracked the fiber glass, its why id rather use the metal rabbit flares or if for some reason i dont weld flares on id go zg or better 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
junk e-bay ones... almost every rivet cracked the fiber glass All too often rivets do this. Even on decent grade stuff. I had to switch to using riv-nuts and bolting them on with machine screws. And resisting the urge to tighten them down too much. ^_^ 3 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
^^ that, rivets and fiberglass or composites in general don't get along. 1 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
haha short of a self tapper, all i had was rivets, and because i bought them in a pinch before canby, i had already planned on redoing them. the edge angle is weird to me, and the "rivet" areas are not suited for a 4dr or wagon 1 Quote Link to comment
