toyorotor
has anyone ever tooken off the backing plate on the axle? and does the bearing have to be pressed off ? Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Yes. Only if you need to replace the bearing or you are going to reuse the backing plate. If your just trying to get rid of the backing plate, wrap a rag around the bearing (to keep it clean) and cut the backing plate off with your choice of tool. Quote Link to comment
toyorotor
thanks for the quick response, looks like you use a torch right? well i dont need the backing plate, but i need to remove it to send the axles out to get redrilled. should i have them replace the bearings while there off already? do you have a pic of the axle without the backing plate? thanks Quote Link to comment
