albyneau
This could very well justify my wife's opinion~ but I'm tossing it out there nonetheless. Maybe if I can show her I'm not alone, she'll put the cattle prod down, and close the phone book that's opened to "psychiatrists"... So here's my short list~ 1. 1972 521 2. 1972 Chevy C20 Restored (4sale) 3. 1970 Chevy C20 Suburban (4sale) 4. 1961 Chevy C40 flatbed (4sale) 5. 1978 Dodge D200 pickup w/ fully self-contained camper conversion 6. 1985 Toyota Celica GTS (4sale) 7. 2002 HD Fatboy 8. 1990 HD Sportster (4sale) 9. 1986 Toyota 4Runner (4sale) 10. 1965 Corvair (wrecked, saved for parts) 11. 1965 Corvair (project car, to recieve donor parts) 12. 1953 Chevy Belair (project car) 13. 1989 S-10 body (stripped for donor parts for 521) 14. 1961 Rambler Classic Cross Country station wagon (my favorite project car) 15. Mystery Project (only known published details are it's got Chevy, Corvair, Datsun, and Toyota parts involved) and 7 more trailers, tractors, and implements of destruction~ all keepers for farm/car work. Most of these are projects of some sort, awaiting their slice of my time pie.... Now is that REALLY too much...? Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Yeah... seems like that's too many. I see alot of cars... to only have 1 Datsun on your list? Quote Link to comment
albyneau
Yeah... seems like that's too many. I see alot of cars... to only have 1 Datsun on your list? Chevy's what I grew up with~ so it's what I buy/sell/trade the most of. Mystery proj will have a 521 frame, and maybe a body of undisclosed year & model... the buying has had a lull commensurate to my employment status... Quote Link to comment
gcmustang
Not too many but you have me by 4. I count 11 vehicles not including boats, quads trailers etc. Quote Link to comment
dennis
thats too many, how are you going to get all of that finished before you die? One at a time then move on to the next project or you will have a bunch of half assed beaters. Quote Link to comment

I have a friend that has about 10-15 project cars I've known this guy for 15 years and he has never finished any of them. Too many cars no time = a bunch of parts cars on your lot. Rhapakatui
Well, when you subtract the for sale items, the bike and camper which fall in the recreation category and therefore don't count, and the parts vehicles which are part of the project they were bought for and will be scrapped upon completion of project... you only have 5 cars, and surely no ratsuner could fault you for that. Eagle_Adam
the parts vehicles which are part of the project they were bought for and will be scrapped upon completion of project This is the way to explain it!!! "those aren't cars they are parts at best honey" :D Quote Link to comment
Jassifrass
I don't think it's to many but then again I plan on having a nice property full of cars to restore ASAP :D Quote Link to comment

Iowa Mark
The problem is not too many cars. The problem is not putting the little woman at the head of the line more often. Now, hang your head, tell her you're sorry for almost everything that ever happened in the last 20 years, take her out for an evening of her choosing. Get up the next morning and actually sell one of those vehicles, (you've been promising her you would for the last how many months?) Take the money you get from the sale and buy her the Datsun of 'her' choice so that the two of you can fix it up together. Or ditch her and buy a Z with a big 'ol turbo! Quote Link to comment
Hardwyre
Thank you for seeing the creative math~ that's how I look at it as well! The wife's another story... Might be time for a new wife. Remember kids.... In The Long Run, The Car Is Cheaper. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
With that many, and that many "for sale", then I'd say you have a problem. Chances are you might be one of "those" guys who would rather see a car rot then sell if for less than you think it's worth (some unreasonably high amount). Cars that are worth their asking price sell; cars that aren't, don't. At the end of the day you're probably better off with the money in your pocket than all those "for sale" cars.
