datzenmike
Toyota, Mazda, Trooper, Ford, and GM 6 bolt will fit. I know there are others. Check disc brake caliper clearance. The big problem is offset. 1 Quote Link to comment
reese
6 bolt x 5 1/2" bolt circle. 1 Quote Link to comment
fisch
Toyota, Mazda, Trooper, Ford, and GM 6 bolt will fit. I know there are others. Check disc brake caliper clearance. The big problem is offset. Are you sure Mike? I didn't think ford would fit. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I thought it was Dodge that didn't fit, maybe it is Ford. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Do you remember when all driver's side bolts were left hand thread on Dodge products?? 3 Quote Link to comment
SHADY280
dodge and ford are both different, and both dont fit. yeah mopar used to do the weird thread thing, you couldnt put your lugnuts on the wrong side either. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Some Ford's fit (Ford has ADHD or something), some Dodge and only some Nissan now grrrr, I don't know why they changed the lug diameter but they did on the Frontier and the Xterra in 05 or so... Reese is right on the diameter. Mike most big rigs still have L & R lugs. I was told that, theoretically, the rotational forces of the wheel help keep the lugs tight... 1 Quote Link to comment
Llittle_Llama
so not all nissans work now!?! damn. so any 6 lug chevy will work huh..... 1 Quote Link to comment
pope_face
Redeye: I haven't heard that, but it doesn't seem to make much sense, does it? I mean, the lugnuts are spread out around the hub, which means that they will simply revolve around the hub, rather than rotate around the bolt. I can see directional bolts on race cars however... the ones with the single center bolt would need to have a left-hand thread on the driver's side... Then again, I'm not a wheel specialist. I didn't know that there was a difference in lug diameters... I'm assuming you mean the thickness of the actual bolts. Are the new ones thicker, or thinner? If they're thicker you might be able to use nuts with an angled end, could you? Or some sort of metal spacer designed to fit over the bolt and between the hub and the back of the lugnut... 1 Quote Link to comment
Llittle_Llama
yeah, big and little pattern. the lugs are spaced farther apart.... Quote Link to comment

B_riginal
I know this is an old ass post but I am having little luck finding a clear answer for "which stock wheel fits on a 1970 521?" This link http://www.wheelsupport.com/bolt-pattern-stud-pattern-6-x-139-7/ only goes down to 1973 for Nissan. I found that the '70 521 has bolt pattern 6x5.5 (6x139.7) is this true? Can someone with experience on this topic take a look at the above link and tell me if you have tried (or know of) any of the trucks/suv's on the list? and/or tell me what the bolt pattern, the bore size and the offset for a 1970 Datsun 521? TIA B_riginal 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
That bolt pattern is used at least back to the 1962 Datsun 320, all Datsun/Nissan trucks have that pattern. at least into the 1990s, I don't know about modern vehicles. I have no idea about the offsets, I normally use 1978/79 Datsun 620 disc brake rims on my trucks, but I use 521 rims when nothing else is available to me. Modern aftermarket wide Chevy rims(used as example) don't work well on our older Datsun trucks(520/521), they may work on a Chevy car/truck but they stick out too far on our Datsun trucks, some Nissan 720 trucks can use them though, and maybe the later 620. 3 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Ford and GM uses the same 6 bolt pattern but I don't think Dodge. Trooper, Courier, Toyota, Mazda and others also did. 1 Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Early Datsuns were Austin based and used Ford corporate wheel stud spacings. Toyota used their own hole and bolt patterns. 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
You guys are not helping. Toyota 6 lug is the same pattern (6x5.5). The only other consideration is the center bore which was fairly large on early Datsun hubs. But if it's 6x5.5 it's 6x139.7 it's 6x5-1/2. 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Never seen a 6 bolt Austin! Quote Link to comment
B_riginal
Thanks gentlemen. I found some stock 17" titan rims that seem to fit nicely. (the person I bought them from said they were also on a 2007 chevy truck) I got them powder coated white to go with the colors scheme on my 521. Now to fit some tires. so far i have 205/55/17 mounted on the front. I really like the way it looks and it actually clears all the way around. Not sure how the rears will fit. mrbigtanker
No 6 lug for me. 5x4.5 now. 6 lugs suck. Quote Link to comment

B_riginal
Here is what the powder coated 17" titan wheels look like on my truck. I went with 205/50/17 3 Quote Link to comment

nl320what
I have used pretty much any 6lug on my Datsun trucks, the proper acorn or mag lugs will center the bolt holes around the 6x5.5 pattern isnt an issue. The major problem is the center hole if your a 4x4 it has the large center hole that just about touches the lugs, most are 2wd so you can use large or small center holes. Quote Link to comment
