This VQ is way different than the VQ's you're thinking of. And just cuz it said it will fit all years doesn't mean it will. 95-OBDI 96-99 OBDII, different intake manifold than 00-01 and different ECM 00-01 VQ30DE-K And at that...IBTL Link to comment

They may have the same engine code, but that's normally where it ends. Link to comment

I think the VQ30 has an entirely different bell housing pattern than the VQ35's do. And IF it did fit, you would still have the intake and coolant passages on the back of the motor. Link to comment
