Phone rings yesterday.

 

Wife:  Im at the fete and found a box of old cars.

 

RW:  ok, like what?

 

Wife: They are in a plastic case that says Matchbox.

 

RW:  What, like an old carry case?

 

Wife:  Yes theres about 40 cars in it, they look pretty old though.

 

RW:  Um, find out how much and dont let go of them!

 

Wife:  Is $15 too much?

 

RW:  #@$% no, buy them now please.

 

So I end up with a Matchbox carry case with mostly 1970 Lesney (British) Matchbox cars and a couple of Corgi cars.  Theirs some absolute crackers in there.  I was at a swap meet this morning and an old fella selling Matchbox cars nearly wet himself when I told him about them.  Get them valued next weekend and while I know they wont be worth a lot, the old bloke says Im sitting on a couple of hundred dollars worth of cars (sight unseen). Wont be seling them though.

Crap! I was at Walmart last night and saw some 2017 cars. Didn't dig deep.

 

Had no clue the Roadster was in the first run. Argh!!!

Fuck you, the newest thing I've seen is a ford pickup with a work box on the back from early this year.....and they just got that a couple months ago....and its the ONLY one in the truck series that they had.
