Icehouse
The 610 is the same as a 510 suspension wise. Get some zx struts and a set of Ground Control coilovers, get that sucker LOW! :D like this.... (I wish I had a 610, find me one :D ) Basically shortened struts with GC "coilovers" I used VW inserts which I don't really like but haven't changed them yet. Quote Link to comment
bonvo
or if your low on funds like i am you could just hack a coil off the stock springs yes i know this isnt the best for performance and it would only be temperary till i can get the coil overs but it would work Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
shorten the lower part of the strut and keep the spring the same or maybe wack one coil so you have a smoothe ride w/o loosing your suspension travel and breaking alternator bolts(if L16) Quote Link to comment
NWOleman
How do you shorten the bottom part of a strut? I want to do this cheap! Ratsun style! Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Grind the lower spring mount off of the strut body slide it down 2" and weld it back on. Take your time with the welding as to not burn thru the strut body. Tack every inch or so around the body allow it to cool. Run another set of tacks let cool and so on til there is a continuous weld holding the mount on. Not adjustable, bu you'll drop 2"s ;) Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
the rage on 510's is to use mr2 inserts, they're shorter, and help keep suspension travel unfortunately, they're only available in illumina-5's which are stiff and expensive Quote Link to comment
