This is an attempt top present a picture of the 521 idler arm.

Can this arm be taken apart and a new bearing inserted? Datsun may not sell a new bearing but MSN might just have one to fit.

The 520 idler arm can be disassembled and this is shown in the PDF of the repair cataloge from Datsun. So can the 720.

Hi there Roger, This is a 66 datsun 520 idler arm, is this what your idler arm looks like? I generally remove this style, as it seems to get in my way.

I replace it with the more recent style.

Nice pics Wayno. Mine is the "new " style. Not 520. Mine has 4 attaching bolt holes. If it can be rebuilt, the tie rod and cross rod don't need to be removed and the alignment messed up.

Anyone know where I can get a bushing? Nissan?
