MINItech760
so I know I'm new here, but not to forums, I tried searching for this info and yielded nothing does anyone know what other maf's are compatible with a 93 ka24de motor with matching ecu? I bought a project 71 wagon from a guy in l.a. that bit off more than he could chew, he even bouht a salvaged 240sx and gutted everything, every wire, bulb, connector, pedal assys, and even the full 240 dash and mounting crossmember. but he forgot one little thing.............maf... :/ he thought it was part of the air filter and disregarded it as trash. so I'm headed to the junkyards this weekend, thank god for chula vista, its like mecca for a car junkie, and I was wondering what possible maf's I can try and find that will be compatuble thanks in advance everybody, this forum has been amazing the last couple days. I've been on it Quote Link to comment

Bush
I have an extra 4 pin MAF which is what i believe goes to the ka24de. I bought it early on in my ka24e swap and didnt notice. I was going to ebay it eventually, but if you want it, shoot me a price in a PM and i'll drop this thing in the mail to you. Quote Link to comment

I've looked into a substitute for a S13 KA24DE MAF the S14 is a totally different MAF and connector .... .. . and some guys use a Z32 MAF,, but only reccomend it with a turbo/bigger injectors... and ECU re-tune I reccomend buying a used S13 KA24DE $45 MAF off ebay (try to get one that's guaranteed working condition) ... .... unless you want to re-tune your ECU ... . . and just try random FWD KA MAFs.. (which look WAY different,,, and probably won't work) Quote Link to comment
MINItech760
thanks bush and indy! that really helps out alot. its been more of an ontaking than i thought it would be. it really seemed like the guy had everything i bought the project from, slowly im finding out its not the case. i'm just glad im a bmw/mini mechanic, because i think id be lost long ago. but its hard searching for parts for something soooo many people are into. what a cult following! i love it. now i just need to find out how much smog junk i can yank off and the engine still run right.
