Skib
The DZ kit comes with good instructions but this is just to have something with pics and just to show how easy it is. This first post just covers the wiring and not the button install. Ill eventually add that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So heres what you get with the DZ kit. its all ready to go and gives you everything you need. (note. I ordered the optional remotes with mine. totally recommended) the only tools I used was a set of wire strippers/crimpers and a 12v test light Everything is plug and play you just need to fasten a few connections. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lets take a look at the wiring you need to do: Heres the diagram included in the instructions... Required Wires Brown wire: the brown wire goes to your brake switch. one wire on the brake switch has a constant 12v and one gets 12v when you press the brake. find the wire that gets 12v when you press the brake and unplug the bullet connector now for the hard part..... plug the male bullet connector from the brake switch into the female connector on the brown wire. then plug the male bullet connector from the brown wire into the female connector the break switch was plugged into. ------------------------------------------- Black wire: Black is your body ground as usual. Find a good spot and bolt it down. ------------------------------------------- Purple wire: Purple wire goes to the Neg.(-) side of your coil. it reads tach signal so the switch knows your car is running, that way it shuts the car off instead of trying to bump the starter again. The kit comes with an extra length of purple wire to run to your coil. Bullet connection end plugs into the other purple wire and the other end goes to the engine bay. Always best to run it threw a firewall hole with a grommet. connect the other end to the Neg.(-) side of the coil. a connector is supplied in the kit, just strip the end of the wire and crimp it on. ------------------------------------------- All these wires go to one plug. Plug that into the DZ start module box (make sure you have it the right way) Remove the clam shell and ignition. Unplug your ignition switch and plug in your DZ harness and thats it really  just need to plug the ethernet cable on the push button into the DZ start module box and your ready to rock. like so.... ------------------ Optional Wires These are the optional wires. Orange wire: The orange wire is for your alarm, I dont have one so theres not any pictures. The DZ kits instructions have a section covering how to do this. ------------------ Green wire: The green one I actually did use. It just "T"'s into the wiring for your door switch so the button lights up when you open the door. (again, all the connectors you need are in the kit) ------------------ White wire: The white wire goes to your parking lights Note that the instruction booklet covers specific instructions for all the wires and include a diagram for the orange security wire ------------------ NOTE: I did not hook up and use the included red micro switch! this switch is what will lock your push button start so someone cant steal your car just because they got in. This is because I ordered and use the optional remotes instead of hiding the switch and hoping a thief doesnt find it  I highly highly recomend spending the extra $25 for the remotes. This kit is SUPER easy to put in. Everything you need is there and the instructions are easy to follow. Installs clean and simple And its got a whole lot of "cool factor" :D If you can put in a stereo deck you can install the DZ kit with ease! it really couldnt be any easier  Over all I love it. Its super cool, suuuper easy to install, installs cleanly, and was totally worth ordering. And with the remotes I dont worry about anyone being able to start the car even if they can get in the door. 2 Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
I think this would work best on FI cars that actually start up right away. Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
The system can tell if the car is running or not, so if it doesn't start right away you just hit the button again. Quote Link to comment

Im finishing up the button install today so Ill have another video up with that too showing all the functions working Quote Link to comment

Great product. you just drill a 1.55in hole and trim 2 notches fit the clips if its going in the hole of your original ignition its already a 1.5 in hole and you just have to open up a tiny bit with some sand paper Quote Link to comment
ariascarlos1990
well thats cute. lol jk Can the remote start the car? Quote Link to comment

DatsunDave09
what did this cost you? The Original thread on the DZ-Start System is here....... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/29794-datsundaves-new-startstop-button-ignition-system/ $190 for the DZ-Start system, Delivered, with GT-R button $170 for the DZ-Start System, Delivered, With the Maxima/Altima button $160 for the DZ-Start System, Picked up here, With the Maxima/Altima button And an Additional $25 for the 2) Keyfobs, Remote Security Add-on (Like Skib has on his Datsun) ariascarlos1990, The remoe is for the built in Security System. It Dissengages the button so it doesn't operate. Too many manual Tranny's out there and all it would take is someone hitting the button unknowingly, and the car would drive thru a wall or something. Hoosier77, The switch acts the same way as a keyed igniton. Just press the button as long as it takes to start the car, same as you would with a key (turn the key until it starts) More of a Secure ignition for the worn out keyed ignitions and this one can be disengaged to NO key or press of the button will start the car. Flatcat19, All the pics are in the Original thread (link above) Great Write-up Skib. Thanks again, Dave Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
I gotta say what a waste of money..... why? No offense to the dude selling em but I just don't really see the point. especially in a rig that may be worth less then the switch lol! Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
Dude, to each his own man. I think that's freekn sweet!!! I dont think that the people that will be interested in this kind of mod are driving $200 datsuns. Quote Link to comment

No offense to the dude selling em but I just don't really see the point. especially in a rig that may be worth less then the switch lol! its not a nessity, no. but I love mine, not only because I think its cool as shit... but with the key fobs it gives the comfort of extra security. (If you just use the micro switch all someone has to do is find it and there off, mines still in the plastic bag it came in) I dont ever bother with alarms on my cars because when you hear one going off your first thought isnt "oh no someones stealing a car" you think... "what the fuck! Im watching TV the owner of that car is an asshole!" IMO there worthless. normally all I would have to do is bring along a standard aftermarket ignition with the 5 prongs, smash open your clam shell and plug mine in and away I go. if you want to start my truck your going to have to tear apart my entire fucking dash to even get to the factory ignition plug Quote Link to comment
