I am currently putting a weber 32/36 on my 71 521, and the research I've done it seems like the most popular are these 32/36. There are a few different series of 32/36s, I have a dfav, but I've heard that the dgv series are more popular

yes it a kit with a carb adapter.

32/36 5A is the cheapest but is a manual choke.

32/36 DGES is a eleltric and you have a 72 there should be a 12volt to the eleltric choke of the stock carb.

PS if your stock carb is fine dont change it. It nice and quiet and get good fuel economy.

The 32/36 is a slightly better(simple) replacement in my opinion

Do Not get the DFAV!!!!it pulles from the wrong side

webercarbsdirect is a good site and a few others ,ck for price or manbe you can pc one together but be leary of used junk

Hitachis when working I would keep since gas prices are high. But once worn its best to polish them up then throw them in the river!!!!!!its like working on a Rubix cube

I don't understand.. when I got my 521, the first thing I did was rebuilt the carb. Very easy. I've been running it for 5 years, and prefer it over a 32/36 any day of the week.. I didn't think it was that complicated..
