Here's been my 510 cars from past to present.

My first 510 was 100% stock when I bought it for $200, it was that orange-mustard color and had a vinyl roof and skinny a$$ tires. Being on a high school budget I could only afford to do cosmetic upgrades like paint, wheels, etc.

But at least I had some serious beats in it!

NOTICE the stock trunk color here and shaved C pillar vents (big mistake with the rear windshield fogging up).

Also drool over my 'custom' 4x2 trunk support!

So when heading to college I had to sell it and got (embarrased to say it) a Hyundai Scoupe...but enough laughing at me. After graduating and getting a 'real' job I decided to get another 510. It was about 3 years ago that I bought this one from some 16 year old kid with BIG dreams but SMALL budget.

But after owning it for about a year and not having any time to do a damn thing to it (literally)...I responded to a WTB car ad on dimequarterly and it ended up being a guy from Austraila who wanted a LHD 2 door...long story short, he paid me handsomely (i.e. more than I paid) then one of his local buddies came and picked it up for him and took it to the shipping yard...now I keep in touch with that local buddy of his but never heard back from the Aussie. I wanted to see what he was planning for it. I did hear back when he first got it, there was some minimal damage to it during the shipping process.

Here's my current dime...

As it looked when I picked it up in San Diego (with the heavy and IMO ugly MOMO wheels, not to mention the illegal window tint)

But this is why I loved it...

Near perfect stock black interior with full 6-pt roll cage

Soon after I bought some 15" Watanbe RS-8 wheels from Japan

So then I slapped on some new H4 lights

And just last week I finally got my new 16" Panasports on my ride to fill up the tire wells/fenders a little better.

Here are a few pics of my cars over the last few years, exept for my first 510 a '71 bubble flare car. Man I miss that car! Starting with my '70 2-door that I just sold.

This is how it sat when I sold it.

The pictures of the Turbo car were taken before body work and primer was done. Just finished rebuilding the motor; waiting on injectors, new turbo, and an ECU tune. Should be on the road within the next few months.

Yeah we want more info. I noticed that the blue wagon has thicker engine mounts, are they 620 mounts? Or is it just the camera angle? Can we get some more pics of the 521? I like trucks :D

The 2-door is siiiiick! Any more info...suspension, brakes, etc? Did you build it yourself?

I know that car! It was built by a guy here in Sacramento,Mark Lowe. He owned it for 20 years, put the FJ in back in the late 80's, built his own turbo manifold, put the cage in, it has tubbed front wheelwells for the big wheels/tires (ran 225/50/16's under stock fenders). 5 Lug, Skyline front brakes, JFZ rears. The car has a ton of little trick details that are common now, but back in the late 80's and early 90's was way advanced for it's time. The cage fits the car incredibly well for a shell that has not had the roof off, the key is the boxed rocker panel tubing that the cage sits on top off. Mark built that thing almost exclusively himself in a two car garage. With fresh Hoosiers, the thing would smoke the tires in third gear when the boost came on. He used to get pulled over and would get out of tickets saying that he wasn't familiar with the car, that it was his son's car, the cops would tell him to be more careful and let him go. Yes, it has reverse Tilton pedals and master cylinders inside the car. I think he sold it to Troy, don't know how much changed after that other than the huge rear wing (100% fabricated by Mark) is now missing from the car. I remember him telling me that the wing needed to be raised because the air was only cathing it on each end. I asked him how he knew that. "Here, look. The dead bugs are only on the ends of the wing, see?" Crazy.

Looks like JFZ fronts now too, maybe it was just Skyline rotors? I don't remember now....

Thats awesome he tubbed the front end! I think its cool to see cars slowly take shape. That car has great detail work, it gives me a lot of motivation thats for sure. I like the part where he says its his son's car :D great!!

WOW you know alot about Marks old car (more than me and Troy when we bought it) getting anything from him is like pulling teeth when Troy and I went to pickit up he said a few things and thats about it the car then was sold to me because Troy needed a set of heads for his race car and then it melted 2 sets of pistons cause Mark said he ran 18 pound of boost all the time well he may have but not without problems according to Jim wolfe the computer and injectors couldnt support that amount of boost (they did the tune in the 90s) it was definitly fast but as far as spinning the tires in 3rd just coming up on boost wouldnt happen I tryed :D all though once I get the rest of the stuff done on the engine it might ...new forged pistons from JE ,750cc injectors , new turbo, O-ringed the deck and running a copper head gasket and a new ecu from a KADE that jim wolfe is going to tune hoping for good numbers. Mark Lowe did alot of custom work and the time and effort put into it is amazing I am lucky to own it and lucky to have him own/build such a cool car and am not taking credit for any work that I am not putting into the car
