hoopty
Anybody ever done one? Im looking to get rid of my shitty point system, looking for some feed back on whether a conversion kit is a respectable way, or if I should just get my hands on an original EI unit... http://www.hot-spark.com/1-Hitachi-Distributors.htm http://www.streetperformance.com/part/accel-ignition/ignitorignition-conversion-kit/590866-2010.html Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Either way will work. Ditch the points. Set it and forget it. Quote Link to comment

jefe de jefes
Pertronix Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
No, no one has -EVER- installed an EI dizzy in a Datsun. You will be the first. /rolls eyes. Not trying to be a total a$$ho!e, but this question has been asked a zillion times and indicates to me you didn't bother searching at all. If you did search, but didn't find what you're looking for, say so so we know you tried rather than being just a bottom feed me troll. You'll get mixed opinions on whether to go Pertronix or stock EI. Pete Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Get the '79/'80 EI matchbox distributor. Pertronix only works on the earlier non L20B single points distributor. Look around, you can probably get one for $50 (or less) and the dizzy has 10 years less wear on it than the one you have now. Quote Link to comment
