bigfoot Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 So I've got a 411 and I'm huge (6'10") and once it's ready to run on the road again I'm going to have trouble turning... My knee is wedged between the door and wheel, not safe and it hurts! I know, what the hell am I doing in a 411? Complicated story, but it's sentimental to me, and I want to enjoy that little car... Does anybody have any suggestions, besides welding up my own little chain link lowrider style wheel? What else might fit, someone have something laying around? Any help would be great! izzo Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Id seriously think about relocating the seat further back dood. even tho you can find a smaller wheel or make one, is that really going to be safe with you packed in there like that? Seems like it would be hard to hit the brakes in an emergency Quote

MikeRL411 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Just remember! If you go for a smaller diameter steering wheel, for every inch you move the whel you get a larger angular displacement. Makes for very jerky steering until you either have an accident or learn to steer more cautiously. There's a reason why the wheel is that diameter, it's called steering geometry. Quote
