rojadoja
Looking for the correct water inlet for doing the Saturn Alternator swap on my 1979 620. I think I have read somewhere here that it is from a 280Z. Let me know if you've got/seen one and also if I am headed down the correct path. Thanks Datfans! Link to comment

rojadoja
Nice, thanks guys! I'm pretty pumped to have some excess amperage. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
datzenmike
The 620, it has an idler arm and grease fitting that the alternator gets very close to when you swing it away from the block to tighten the belt. Well if you run a larger than stock diameter alternator. I fit a 720 50/60 amp on my 620 and used a shorter belt. Had to slip the belt onto the pulley first and then put the two lower mounting bolts in and tighten them. The 280z/zx rad inlet positions the hose up and to the rear slightly to give a bit more room close to the block for the larger alternator. I don't know if the Saturn alt is larger or not... there may be no fitment problems. Link to comment
ariascarlos1990
If you get a smaller belt you wont have a problem. Link to comment
