ggzilla
Less than $15 at your friendly Nissan dealer. 32703-N9017 PINION SPEEDOMETER 17T They come in different sizes, but the 17T is common. Depends on your tires and if your speedometer is reading correctly now. Link to comment
pl521sss
Me too Need to correct speedo on my 521 with 15 inch wheels What would be the correct tooth count and part number? datzenmike
Me too Need to correct speedo on my 521 with 15 inch wheels What would be the correct tooth count and part number? That would depend on if the 15s are larger in diameter than the stock 14s and by how much. The stock one is 17 tooth and assuming you are now going faster than it reads we need to increase the speedometer reading by making the cable spin faster. Installing a 16 or a 15 tooth pinion will do this. What is the size of the stock tire and what size are you using now? Link to comment

Contact http://www.the510realm.com/index.php They are loosely based in Vancouver with lots of 510 owners that have had 5 speeds installed and have 4 speeds laying around collecting dust.. These guys will definitely have or can get one... http://www.specialtyengineering.ca/ Also in Van at two locations. Andy is the guy to ask for, not sure which shop he is at. If he doesn't have one he can direct you to where there is one. Link to comment
72dat
Thanks Datzenmike I'll give those a try. ggzilla - It turns out that part number isnt the part I need. The one i need is 32701-15802. I need the actual gear on the main shaft and that previous number is for the speedo thingy that goes through the side of the tranny. Thanks anyway though :) Link to comment
datzenmike
Don't throw gears at it. I can do a little number crunching and get the right one. (or close as possible) Need stock tire and the tire size you are now using. Link to comment
ggzilla
How'd the metal gear inside the transmission get damaged? Yikes. Link to comment
72dat
its rusted and has some pits in it which would just shred the plastic one from the pinion end. Link to comment
