411 help

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm new to this place... I'm in Seattle WA. I've got a 67 411 that needs a little help. Brakes bled and new hoses probably, some wiring, maybe a tune up... Just little crap for anyone who knows their way around these little cars. But thats my problem, I don't know my way around 'em. So, I bought a 67, maybe a 68 (Ican't remember) 411 wagon for parts. They are not the sss cars just cute little plain jane models... Now I hope this is a good idea, if anyone is willing to get my car on the road, you can have the wagon. The wagon is not road worthy... You may keep any extra parts my sedan doesn't need. I am also eager to help, I am very handy, but I know way more about SAE nuts and bolts and small block american V8s. If this sounds the least bit exciting please e-mail me brettgallagher0@gmail.com I would really appreciate any pointers or helpful bits of advice as well.

I'm too far away be be of physical help but cheer up. First the good news. "SAE bolts are us" applies to the 411s. Except for the nuts and bolts on the battery clamps, all original fasteners were SAE. Retainer bolts on the rear cover of the water pumps may be either quarter inch or six millimeter as an exception also. Many seekers on this site lust for the J13 engine parts and 4 on the floor transmission so the wagon may find a good home is parts or for restoration purposes. The bad news is that Nissan has just about given up on finding parts, but individual dealers will work their butts off to help keep these early [blue]birds on the road and doing the Datsun / Nissan reputation a favor. Good luck, we need more 411s on the road!
