d510addict Posted February 12, 2011 Report Share Posted February 12, 2011 I was wondering what the stock transmission was for the L16 521 and if anyone had a pic I could see of it mounted in the 521 (underneath) I have some funky looking mount setup on the rear of the transmission and it doesn't look right. datzenmike Posted February 13, 2011 Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 Here's an F4W63 521 tranny on left. Note that the main body has a ribbing like a waffle, the speedo is on the driver's side and it has a flat bottom with a removable oil pan with drain plug in the center. The F4W63 used on the 521 also has a round flange bolted onto the output shaft allowing it to be bolted to the driveshaft. Here's a better look at the flange output and the unique 'A' type shifter. Here is a stock transmission mount for a 521... (ignore the lines and text) If yours doesn't look like this one post a picture of it here.. Quote Link to comment
