So of course you fix something and something else breaks or starts to break.

Engine haas developed a high pitched weezing sound. I think its coming from the distributor. Busta advised me that it's probably a bearing in the dizzy. Has anyone replaced distributor bearings before? and where do i get bearings for a matchbox dizzy? The easier option is just slap some pertronix on a spare dizzy from busta's stash.

If it's a belt, you can run the engine and spray a little water on the belt to see if it's the noise. If it's a belt, the water will silence it instantly. This will save you the trouble of going through the unbolting trouble. Quick and easy like. Bearing should be easy to replace as well, if that's what it is? Had a similar noise but found it to be my cam chain guide and you know how that turned out! Hopefully it's just a loose belt.

Used these. they fit great on the 720 4x4 leafs.

These are what where on the 4x4 leafs when i got them. the hole diameter was bigger than stock 521 so they where in there kinda loose. I believe they are for a 620 cause that's what the leafs where on before i bought them from eagleadam.

I also raised the front a 1/2 inch to even it out and more clearance.

Drove her home and she's definitely smoother on the freeway.

She's almost ready for Canby! just gotta deal with the dizzy noise, replace the brake master cylinder and adjust the valves one more time.

the 620 guys claim 1.75" but i have also heard 1.5".

I crunched some numbers and my truck measured 27.5" from ground to fender well opening in the rear. after 3" blocks that put it at 24.5".  after 4x4 leafs it now sits at 23" even.

so in my case the 4x4's lowered it 1.5"

Around one and a half inches.

But that depends on what spring you are replacing.

ok so I got a Wilwood 1inch brake MC because the master i got with the Canby truck brakes started leaking. I got a chance to swap it out at bustanut's shop. Started last night and should have taken a few hours. But, this is a Datsun and if something can go wrong it will. Turns out the threads on the inlet are standard. And the lines I got with canby truck are metric. yay. so i had to leave the truck at the shop overnight.

Thought i could get some adapters, but parts store didn't have any so i bought new lines. Bending them took longer than expected but got them done. so now my lines all match and MC doesn't leak! canby here we come!

Looks good vegan. Now scrub that engine bay. Plenty of shine I see cumming out under that hood.

Thanks. But, let's get one thing straight, just cause I eat vegan burgers doesn't make me vegan.  :ninja:

and yea, i know it needs a good cleaning. I was waiting for you to say something.
