Pineapplegti
What tranny were you running ? How much trimming to the tunnel was involved ? Did you use the stock steering linkage ? Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
you can use many different transmissions. good luck finding one of those v8's in good shape. at one point i was going to do the same swap. But my sr makes more power then that v8. but if i could finde one with the jet fire option i would so snatch it up and put it in a 510. Link to comment

datzenmike
The 215 V8 was only built for 4 years (or less) then sold to Rover of Britain who used it for the next 40 years. There are lots of them around. Link to comment

Loren
there was one just like this i milwaukie,OR back in the '80's when i was in High School. i never saw the owner really get on it,and had always assumed it was another chev 350, but you could FEEL the ground shake as the car got closer, passed,&went by! it was baddass! the 215 v8 was a BUICK engine. i have the 401 version of it in my '63 Riviera. they're known as "nailheads" . not the biggest HORSEPOWER engines, but MONSTER TORQUE motors. they're pretty narrow for a v8,which is one reason they're so popular with the RAT ROD folks, that and factory option dual quad carbs, lots of vintage speed equipment available, and that they look awesome all decked out! sr20ve510
The car is crazy now. I'm not a huge fan of flares...V-8's are kind of whack too. To each his own. :) I almost went and put the F20c in my Datsun LOL but I couldn't give Datsun/Nissan a smack in the face so I went with the SR20VE. It's cool you got to see your car go on a life journey man. Sick. Link to comment

ggzilla
The 215 V8 was three different engines. Buick, Pontiac and Oldsmobile each had a version of it. Link to comment
