hood mounting brackets

anyone know where i can get the brackets that are plug welded in under the front cowling that the hood hinges bolt to mine were so torn seized and rusted that there was nothing left kinda need new ones to make the hood do its thing

I don't believe you can buy them new...probably have to get them from another truck.

Yes I do have a parts truck, I will check today on the condition of the hood mounts. If they're good I'll see if I can remove them for you. I'll let you know what I find. Jersey

Well I struck out on the hinge brackets, they too were rusted. The best bet is probably the junk yard.

i have a set i can cut off my parts truck, but i dont have the arms conecting them to the hood, just the base

revive from last year - I need two of these sent to Australia - I could possibly try and fab a new set but mine are so far gone that there isn't much left for a template. (Would prefer OG looking ones also than making some other suit of hinge system)

 

If anyone has a set, need left and right they could cut off and send down to me that would be awesome! I don't need the arms for holding the hood on, just the hinge in the engine bay. Just let me know how much and postage.
