well, I was going to rebuild this engine, but as I was putting together a list of the other parts I needed, I found a donor car with a good motor and all the parts to make it run.

I had already bought this used Weber 40mm DCOE missing fuel banjo bolt, and stud on the air filter side. Just arrived today with filter and Cannon intake selling it for the $220 I paid.

As for the motor and tranny. I'll sell the whole setup for $150 obo if you come pick it up. If nobody wants the whole thing, I'll put small pieces in the mail if you wanna make offers on parts and you pay shipping. missing valve cover. I've got everything in the pictures and the exaust manifold.. I'll sell motor without tranny for $60 as it needs rebuild. Feel free to make offers if you don't like my prices.

I'd put that thing in doors if you want it to be usable at all. Water can seep down the dizzy hole, along with the intake/exhaust ports, and intake/exhaust valves. It will being to rust and be useless if you dont take care of it now (hell just put a tarp on it at least)

 

clutch fan don't look to old, might be worth savin :D

wrapped it up after pics were taken. I have a feeling that most of it will end up at the scrap metal recyclers. Not alot of datsun enthusiasts in SE Texas. I may actually be the only one.

I cauld use the pedastool for the dizzy and what head is that

W58 head... I also have an electronic distributor that I forgot to list. I pulled it off while I was still thinking rebuild. I think its worth $100 or so. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll say $25 for oil stuff. another 15 for starter. Never tried it to see if it works though.

Starter does work and the motor did run when I had it, but the timing chain was loose as a goose :P We were gonna do an inframe on it, but went a different route. Good luck with the project.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get all of these parts sold off before fall really hits and it starts to rain alot and things start rusting... I'd hate to see any of it go to waste and I don't have a good indoor place to keep this motor. Did you ever drive it? I'm gonna PM you. I've got some questions that don't pertain to parts I'm selling.

Woulda been nice. This is my last day off til Oct 28 and I've spent most of it breaking down this motor. I could've hauled it to you in the back of my wife's car and just made a day roadtrip out of it.
