My '76 710 Goon

So previous to my wife sanding the fender I had made a couple of patch panels, one for the outside skin and one for the inside support member using the original fender. When laying the outer one on the replacement fender I noticed a little more rust so I bent a little filler piece and welded it in before cutting off the bottom for access to the inside support. I bolted the fender on lightly to align the inner patch, and tacked it in place before taking the fender off again for fully welding. The fender went back on for scribing, then off for cutting then back on to be tacked in place then back off for final welding, and I didn't bother taking pictures because I just wanted it done.

While my wife was sanding for me I was cleaning and sanding the rust on the inner fender area, then treated it with rust converter. I then went onto cleaning up the cowl area as well. I was able to paint the inner fender but I didn't get to the cowl till tonight.

I'm just itching to get some color on the panels to improve the looks.
